Please join us for a lunch and learn on Wednesday, February 27, 2019.

The Animal Health team from Johnson & Johnson will discuss the veterinary marketplace and how medical devices are utilized for surgery in cats, dogs and horses. With over 26 years of experience in animal health, Jaime Mazurek, Sr. Product Director, Global Marketing, and Timothy Horan, Principal Product Engineer, Animal Health will provide a case study on developing a product for the veterinary market. This will be followed by a panel discussion on device development for animals led by Gladys Chen, US Marketing Director, Animal Health.

Gladys Chen

US Marketing Director, Animal Health

Gladys Chen, Director of Marketing of Animal Health, Johnson & Johnson Medical Device Companies, is responsible for establishing J&J Animal Health as a leader in the treatment of animals by improving the standard of care and access to best-in-class medical device products in the US. Gladys’ distinguished 15-year career at Johnson & Johnson has included roles across the Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, and Consumer sectors. At the enterprise level, her expertise in developing brand and lifecycle strategies has helped shape the global business strategy for several J&J products. 

Gladys holds a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of Business and Master of Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Jaime Mazurek

Sr. Product Director, Global Marketing

Jaime Mazurek, Sr. Product Director of Animal Health, Johnson & Johnson Medical Device Companies, is responsible for the Animal Health medical device portfolio strategy.  Jaime’s 13-year career at Johnson & Johnson has included many functions within the Animal Health market, including developing eCommerce platforms and CRMs with various IT departments.  Her expertise is in developing marketing and digital strategies to further product reach, including a pet owner education platform. 

Jaime holds a Master of Business Administration from The Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University. 

Timothy Horan

Principal Product Engineer, Animal Health

Timothy Horan, Principal Engineer of Animal Health, for Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices, has been working in the medical device industry since 2002.  In 2005 he was presented the opportunity in to become lead engineer for the new veterinary orthopedic division of Synthes, Inc., now part of the Johnson and Johnson family of companies.

 

Over the course of thirteen years Tim has developed solutions to many unmet clinical needs in veterinary orthopedics, and is among the field’s most respected technical contributors. 


Tim is a graduate of Northeastern University in Mechanical Engineering and maintains Professional Engineering licensure.



Stacey Bonnell

Director Regulatory Affairs,Trauma, CMF, & Biomaterials

Stacey is a Director Regulatory Affairs working within Global Orthopaedics supporting Trauma & CMF. Her primary responsibilities are specific to supporting new product development within Plate & Screws, Biomaterials and Front End Innovation. She leads a high performing team of regulatory experts responsible for Regulatory strategies and registrations of new products in critical markets, as well as maintenance of the existing portfolio.


Stacey has extensive experience in the medical device field and in interpreting regulation of devices and combination device/drug products. She has worked to bring all classifications of products to market and maintain post-market compliance obligations. Her prior roles with Johnson and Johnson have included more than a decade supporting Spinal orthopedic products, most recently as Regulatory Affairs Manager; then a transition into Regulatory Compliance Management with focus on Policy & Standards Outreach.
